On February 13, 2021, a pipe burst due to freezing temperatures in the Islamic Society of Denton (ISD), causing immense destruction to the first floor. The ISD commenced mitigation efforts to avoid further damage the same day. While we have been in touch with our insurance, the continued freezing temperatures have delayed processing and made remediation that much more difficult. At the same time, the additional efforts come with additional costs. We greatly appreciate the support of our Denton, TX, and larger communities, especially the gofundme fundraiser put together by David Smith and the First United Methodist Church.
