Islamic Society of Denton Summer School hopes to provide kids with an environment in which they can receive an interactive education about their religion, be creatively challenged and have a chance to create new friendships and bonds that will help shape them into better Muslims and individuals. Here are a few things you can expect your kids to learn from the Summer School:
- Recitation of the Qur’an and memorization of the chapters within using the Qa’eda and Juz’ Amma.
- Memorization of various du’as and when to use them.
- Learning how to read and write Arabic letters/words and numbers.
- How to properly establish Salaat and the etiquette of a Masjid.
- The principles of Islam and their application in the life of a Muslim (Iman, Remembrance of Allah, Ramadan/Fasting/Charity, Fulfilling the rights of others, etc.)
- The history of Islam and its importance through the stories of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), the Companions of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) and the other Prophets of Allah (swt).
- Take part in various creative activities that will help them understand all of the above-mentioned items in a better and more permanent way.
The program for this summer starts Sunday 6/24/2018 and ends mid of August.
The school is every Sunday from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
